Kids Free Colouring Downloads

My 8 year old granddaughter often spends a few hours here with a couple of her friends and invariably they end up sitting at my dining room table either all playing on Roblox ( I have several tablets, so they get one each) or asking me to print out hamsters, Stitch, rabbits, princesses, the world etc for them to colour in – they love it. I also have several sets of painting pens which I picked up cheap at TK Maxx – so there’s no arguing and just playful banter and peace.

I’ve listed several websites which have free print out downloads but Google does a good job if you simply search for the subject + free colouring.

Monday Mandala – thousands of free, print out colouring pages for boys, girls and grown ups, which includes Disney, TV characters, Seasons, princesses and nature.

Just Color – yes it’s American, but does include Stitch, so It is up to date. Tons and tons of free print outs on tons and tons of subjects.

Castle Arts – over 100 nicely drawn prints to download and colour.

CBeebies – lots of pages, crafts, colouring and ‘experiments’ to keep your toddler engrossed.

Colouring Book Info – lots of your favourite characters – and new ones – to print out and color. This is an American site and is a tad out of date with children’s latest favourites – but still plenty of traditional character’s to print out and colour.

Super Colouring – plenty of drawings to download, plus paper crafts, how to draw and puzzle games

DKTK’S sites for kids – this site has been around as long as Allkids  and has a wealth of kids crafts. I’ve concentrated on the cartoon colouring pages.

Colouring Castle – a tad outdated and very American orientated, but still plenty of interesting colouring pages.

Colouring is such a wonderful activity for kids! Here’s why it’s so good for them:

1. Builds Strong Little Hands
Coloring helps kids develop the muscles in their hands and fingers, which they’ll need for things like writing, tying shoes, and using scissors.

2. Lets Their Creativity Shine
It’s a perfect way for kids to express themselves! They can choose their favorite colors, make patterns, and bring their imaginations to life.

3. Teaches Focus and Patience
Staying in the lines (or not!) helps kids practice focusing and sticking with a task until it’s finished.

4. Helps Them Think
Choosing colors and figuring out how to finish their masterpiece gets their little brains working and making decisions.

5. A Calm, Happy Time
Coloring is super relaxing and can help kids feel calm and peaceful. It’s a great way to wind down after a busy day.

6. Sharpens Hand-Eye Coordination
When kids color, they’re learning to guide their crayons exactly where they want them to go. That’s a skill they’ll use for lots of things!

7. Learn Colors and Shapes
Coloring helps kids recognize and remember colors and shapes, which is super important for learning.

8. Boosts Confidence
Finishing a coloring page gives kids a big sense of accomplishment—”Look what I made!”—and that builds their confidence.

9. Great for Sharing and Socializing
Coloring with friends teaches kids to share crayons, take turns, and enjoy working together.

Coloring isn’t just fun—it’s a little activity with big benefits!
